Global Volunteers executives also participate as members of the committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/rcpcommittee.globalvolunteers.org\/?page_id=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RCP Advisory Committee Bios<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guiding Principles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\">\n<li>We operate in an advisory capacity specifically for the Global Volunteers <a href=\"https:\/\/d.docs.live.net\/cb5031febdcb9c6a\/Documents\/Global%20Volunteers\/Reaching%20Childrens%20Potential\">Reaching Children\u2019s Potential<\/a> initiative<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In keeping with Global Volunteers philosophy, we work under the guidance of local partners in the countries served by RCP, who determine our priorities and deliverables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We report to the Global Volunteers <a href=\"Board%20of%20Directors\">Board of Directors<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our efforts enable delivery of Global Volunteers\u2019 12 Essential Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The work we do actively supports many of the United Nations <a href=\"https:\/\/globalvolunteers.org\/global-volunteers-and-the-sustainable-development-goals\/\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The committee conducts virtual meetings quarterly, and the committee\u2019s work is done collectively in focused subcommittees that include:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Healthcare<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum and Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entrepreneurship and Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-column gb-block-layout-column\"><div class=\"gb-block-layout-column-inner\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-block-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\"><strong>Healthcare Subcommittee <\/strong><\/mark><\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee opening of clinic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draft and review clinic operational protocols (e.g., budgeting, inventory, operations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review supply and equipment requests and clinic budget proposals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draft guidelines for the roles of healthcare volunteers (licensed and students)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secure ongoing sources of supplies and funding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor the analysis of Reportable Events within the clinic and provide appropriate feedback and recommendations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate communication with and mentor clinic staff (primarily non-medical staff) regarding clinic operations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist research subcommittee on projects involving clinic data as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Members:<\/strong>\u00a0Barbara Morris (chair), Bill Goldman,  Teresa Omeddo,\u00a0Melinda Staveley,\u00a0John Taylor, Phil Zeitler<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Staff Liaisons:<\/strong>\u00a0Anna Mwenda,\u00a0Drew Philbrook, Mindy Lull<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-genesis-blocks-gb-accordion gb-slate-accordion gpb-rounded-md gb-block-accordion gb-font-size-20\"><details><summary class=\"gb-accordion-title\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-accent-color\">Research Subcommittee <\/span><\/strong><\/summary><div class=\"gb-accordion-text\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify research and data collection needs related to the RCP Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop research contracts and set expectations of external groups wishing to do research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and make recommendations regarding external research proposals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain integrity and balance of research projects (including considerations of the impact on the community;
